If you’ll be watching this infamous horror movie for the first time, then you’ll not notice how some scenes foreshadows, or reveals the other parts. In short, some scenes pretty much gave out not so subtle hints on how the movie will end.
Well, if you are familiar with the movie, good. If not, here’s something to refresh your memory. Gore Verbinski’s The Ring came out in 2002 and focuses on a mysterious cursed tape. After watching this damn tape, the viewer receives a phone call in which a girl in the other line announces that the viewer will die in seven days.
Remember Anna’s horses in the barn that died after Samara arrived? Notice anything creepy about them except from the fact that they killed themselves? Well, let me tell you.
In a scene where a horse’s eye was shot at extremely up close angle, you’ll notice a ring formed in its lens just like in the film poster. The director just flashed you THE RING, the one from the haunted tape and you may have not noticed it.
There’s also the scene where Rachel Keller, the protagonist in the story, approached the race horse being carried aboard the ferry, when it suddenly jumped off into the water and got shredded to bits. Then, the movie cuts into the ring image. You thought that you’re only seeing what Rachel saw earlier in the film but hell no– you’re actually watching the tape yourself!
This didn’t really reveal the ending but still creepy! Featured Image Source: otaku-mookers.deviantart.com
