Those of you who are familiar and seen HIMYM on TV know that Ted is usually not on the right track when it comes to the matters of the heart. Although it’s such a shame ‘cause Ted can actually be kind of a dreamboat. But alas, each man has his flaws–his blindness when it comes to love, or his choices for a girlfriend. Dating Robin who doesn’t want to get married and have babies springing on her daisies (at the beginning, at least), almost marrying Stella who’s still in love with that loser turned director and father of her child, falling for his archenemy and a married woman named Zoey.
Ted can be pretty frustrating. And I know it’s for the sake of the program and that Ted is the ultimate romantic-and-cheesy-but-not-at-all-gay guy, but isn’t he just such a wuss? He ruined things with Victoria, gotten back together only to not marry her and break her heart over Robin who he doesn’t end up with eventually.
Oh Teddy Ted Ted, we’re all so glad that you’re finally getting married. You deserve it and man, you’ve worked hard for it.
Hey, nobody’s perfect. I know that. But in the world of television, it doesn’t take too much to be hypercritical about TV characters. I love Ted and it’s just funny to think how much I idolize his character because just like us, he is imperfect, flawed, and just trying to be himself no matter what.
