Three months after his death, the coroner’s report on Cory Monteith’s death is finally out. It was declared that his death was “accidental.”
Sad and interesting. This guy had so much promise as a lead on Glee. His family obviously loved him enough to encourage him to get into rehab. But apparently old habits are really tough to break.
Involved in substance abuse since he was 12, he became a school dropout at 16. Clearly talented and obviously good-looking, he went on to land roles that allowed him to support himself, but they did not make him strong enough to go against the temptation of going back to his old ways.
Investigators said that ”a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle, along with two empty champagne bottles and multiple glasses” were at the scene of his death.
