NBA stars have a lot of money. There’s no doubt about that. For starters, a rookie at the minimum salary level in the 2013 – 2014 season could earn about $490,180. That’s about 30 times the earnings of a full- time minimum wage worker in the US. This amount goes up the more years a player has stayed in the league. For this season, a minimum salary NBA veteran of 10+ years could earn about $1,399,507.
That said, think of all the things they can afford. Think of all the things they can buy. Oh, and think of all the freebies they get from sponsorships and endorsements. Getting a Dolce and Gabbana shirt that costs about $725 could be easy peasy for them. A handsome sweater at Armani Exchange worth $98 would just be losing loose change for them.
So you’d have to ask, how in the world do some players still end up wearing horrible outfits? Can’t they get a stylist if they’re too busy to choose what’s a good get up for them?
Take these Knicks for example. Knicks Kid Reporters Ryan and Jaylah dropped by the team’s training facility on Media Day to find who is the best and worst dressed Knick.
