Imagine staying in a house made of food like the ginger bread House in Hansel and Gretel or the land of Sugar Rush in Wreck It Ralph (Wiki Me!). Delicious, right? And crazy that’s for sure! But what if I’ll tell you that there is really someone out there who would spend money to build this fantasy house? Yes, It’s true. Check this out!
Introducing “Bolivia’s Palacio de Sal” a hotel literally made of 10,000 tons of salt!
Though it’s not chocolate or candies like in the movies, this Grand Hotel at the edge of Salar de Uyuni, world’s largest salt plain, is still a sight to behold! From the floors, to its pillars, roof and the beds, all are made of salt! And like all the amazing hotels in the world this hotel is complete with a bar, pool table and a whirlpool. The Hotel also boasts its golf course, dry sauna, steam room and saltwater baths that are all made from salt bricks.
But beware, licking the walls (I know, what you’re thinking! LOL) is strictly prohibited! Well, you know what happens when salt gets wet don’t you?
With Palacio De sal, you won’t have to worry about Diabetes like Hansel did, but how does Kidney Failure Sound? But whatever! Stop the dreaming and start packing your bags and visit this salty paradise.
