The question of what would happen to Glee or how it would transition without Cory Monteith was somewhat answered during its Season 5 premiere on Fox on Thursday, Sept. 26. We say “somewhat” because the episode answered the question through subtle hints, showing Rachel Berry (played by Cory’s real-life girlfriend Lea Michele, if you’ve been hiding under a rock and don’t already know just the biggest news to hit The Gleekdom) getting a callback for a Broadway audition. But Rachel doesn’t get the role, and this little turn of events sets off the melancholy mood that has Rachel remembering her pals in her high school Glee Club. Photos of her former pals, including a photo of Finn Hudson (the character played by Cory), was shown.
With the fitting title Love, Love, Love, Episode 1 is a tribute to the Fab 4 (The Beatles, of course!). Episode 2 will be a continuation of the Fab 4 tribute, but it can be said that the two episodes will be used to build up to Episode 3, which will be dedicated to Cory. However, the reasons that Glee prod peeps will throw in to tell us why Finn will no longer appear in Glee are still hazy.
