It’s a new year! Yeah, I know you’ll definitely say, “I know!” But smartass aside (wink!), can you recall all book titles that you’ve read last year or years prior to last year and last last year? That’s lots of last year, right? But the reason why I asked you this was that books can make or break you and needless to say that if you are a bookworm, then there are books that could leave a deep impression that will make your heart aching or your mind throbbing from whatever it was that you got from reading the book.

Ha ha! It’s true, isn’t it? When you finish a book, you are forever changed but the world just keeps on turning as it always, always does. But I really believe that books have that magic because they take us to places entirely in our heads. They expand our imagination. There are books that break you with disappointing endings or untimely deaths. They can also make you feel for characters you never even met and take you to places that you never imagined you’d ever go to.
More so, authors make you attached to the worlds that they have created and when you go back to the real world, it just doesn’t feel right sometimes. I guess that’s the beauty of a book. It makes you forget this world as it brings you to a place in your mind that can be beautiful, miserable and magical. Dig it
