Yes, crazy people do crazy things. Recall the crazy things you’ve done or think about the craziest thing you’ve done. How many can you count? Are your ten fingers and ten toes enough?
Well, they also say that crazy people think about crazy things which they could get other people to do or join in. One example? Here are some of the world’s scariest roller coaster rides. They’re mad crazy! You should wonder what their developers were thinking. Seriously.
1. White Cyclone, Nagashima Spa Land (Japan)
First of all, who would risk their lives on a wooden roller coaster? The guys behind themeparkreviewTPR sure did. But will you? According to rcdb.com (Roller Coaster Database), this ride’s the third longest wooden roller coaster and the seventh tallest wooden roller coaster in the world. Well, apparently, there are more impressive roller coasters than this.
2. Steel Dragon 2000, Nagashima Spa Land (Japan)
This one’s supposed to be White Cyclone’s bigger and badder steel brother, Steel Dragon 2000. Wikipedia mentions that it is “is the second fastest coaster in Japan and the sixth fastest in the world.” But you have to know, though this ride may be big and bad it still lost records to a roller coaster in the United States.
>3.Top Thrill Dragster, Cedar Point (United States)
By this time you’ll understand that this looks just like a game. There’s one big bad a** until another comes along. The Top Thrill Dragster came over and took Steel Dragon’s record as the “World’s Tallest Complete Circuit Roller Coaster”. Play the video and catch a glimpse of that steep, narrow parabolic curve up ahead. What impression to give? It’s a “Race for the Sky.” Well, it sure looks like you’re on a race to heaven if you’re taking a ride on what used to hold the records for World’s tallest complete circuit roller coaster, World’s tallest roller coaster, World’s tallest roller coaster drop and World’s fastest roller coaster.
4. Kingda Ka, Six Flags Great Adventure (United States)
As mentioned, there’s the current top gun and another comes along. Kingda Ka ran away with world records when Six Flags started its operations but it’s no longer the fastest roller coaster. Formula Rossa is. But would you expect less if you knew that Formula Rossa is on sacred racing grounds? It’s only located at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.
5. Takabisha, Fuji-Q Highland (Japan)
But if you think being the fastest is being the baddest, well, think again. Being the fastest simply means that the ride is over fast. Now the Takabisha, may not be that big but it sure is a meanie teasing riders with a crawl to the tip of its world- famous, record- holding 121- degree drop angle. This ride is that sick and that bad.
