Main Cast: Sandra Bullock, George Clooney
Declared 97% Certified Fresh by Rottentomatoes.com.
If you’re a budding movie maker, make this as your model. Reviewers have been raving about the technical stuff around it. If you just want to take a break from those daily life movies or crime or horror movies, try this one for size. Critically acclaimed. Even movie bigwig , James Cameron was quoted by Variety saying, “I think it’s the best space photography ever done, I think it’s the best space film ever made, and it’s the movie I’ve been hungry to see for an awful long time”.
Oggy And The Cockroaches: The Movie
Main Cast: Marc Du Pontavice
From the telly to the big screen Oggy and the Cockroaches finally get their big break taking their duels to the big stage. No reviews yet on Rottentomatoes, though 82% who rated it did say they liked it.
Don’t expect too much. It’s a kid movie. If you’re looking for some downtime and you have cash to spare, check it out. But again, don’t expect too much.
Main Cast: Jeremy Lin
Smart, Asian, Insane. Linsanity is the story of Linsanity. Don’t buy the “Rags to Riches” tagline. Jeremy Lin is from Harvard. No he wasn’t offered an athletic scholarship. It’s probably his degree in Economics that’s led him to the idea of being frugal while he hasn’t made it big.
But at a time when top prospects are being given all these ludicrous, endorsements and what nots, Jeremy Lin made the history books. Sports geeks, feast.
Main Cast: Tori Matsuzaka, Ryohei Suzuki, Go Ayano, Ayame Goriki, Tatsuomi Hamada
Think about this movie as Captain Planet with a Japanese twist and a more techie focus. The enemies are irresponsible people consumed by greed and using technology irresponsibly. Come to think of it, it’s more like Power Rangers x Captain Planet.
Against Galactor, The Science Ninja Team uses their superhuman abilities to wage war against those threatening to wipe the Earth of its resources.
Main Cast: Liam Hemsworth, Gary Oldman, Amber Heard, Harrison Ford
Watch the trailer and forget how it fared on the Tomatometer. Flashy cars, bright lights, big city. You want to be the big boss someday? You want to make it big? This movie shows you how now to do it.
It’s a corporate game that’s playing the rat in the race. Fine, it’s 4% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, which means, well, it’s rotten to the 71 out of 74 people who reviewed it. Don’t waste your time nor money.
Kung Fu Divas
Main Cast: Ai-Ai de las Alas, Marian Rivera
Catch this insanely LOL local release from Comedy QueenAi-Ai and the oozingly hot Marian. Aside from a dose of good guffaw, it is nice to notice some of the water and landscape shots in this movie, which play around with contrast and highlights while some scenes were inspired by the animation Kung Fu Panda.
