Celebrities live in the lap of luxury, and they can afford any treatment that caters to their beauty needs. You’d think they’d all go the safe and scientific way to preserve their looks, but there are some celebs who have their own secret beauty regimen that’s leaves you asking, “Wait, whut?”
Then again, call them crazy, but it’s their body, right? If they feel it works for them, who are we to judge, yeah? And weird stuff may actually work! Feeling like trying some out? Here’s a list of weird beauty practices that celebrities do.
Lip balm for the eyes
Recommended by: Miranda Kerr
Miranda uses lip balm to accentuate her eyes. She dabs the balm on the inner corners of her eyes. It works as long as you use a natural base balm as balm can clog your pores. Who would’ve thought lip makeup can also be used on the eyes? Don’t use your lipstick, of course, unless you want to start your own beauty trend. Why not? It is not a bad idea until you know for sure it is!
Beer for the hair
Recommended by: Catherine Zeta-Jones
To those who are not yet allowed by their parents to drink beer (in their presence *wink*), you can always use this beverage to remove stuff that can be building up right on the surface of your hair. Any beer would do. So, don’t think of buying any international beers for your hair. Instead of getting yourself drunk, you can have your hair experience the hangover instead which is of course a desirable thing for it, so it’s a win-win!
Strawberry for your teeth
Recommended by: Catherine Zeta-Jones
No, not to eat them but to clean your teeth with them, okay? It’s no wonder that she has two entries on the list. Have you seen how gorgeous she is? She doesn’t age and it’s great to know that she uses natural products to keep herself young. Anyway, these fruity delights serve as astringent for your teeth as it can magically lighten your teeth with ‘em. Don’t you dare consider not brushing your teeth, though. Are you a hobo? Maintain your hygiene, silly.
Sellotape for the face
Recommended by: Lady Gaga
Before you go on doubting Gaga’s choice of makeup remover, consider this: what better way can you possibly remove glitter from your eyes after a night of partying? So, it isn’t all that cuckoo after all, ain’t it? Go ahead if you want to waste your time rubbing glitter off your face. Our experiences as a kid should already tell us that glitter stays. It stays for days. Sometimes weeks. Months, even. So, using Sellotape is a weird yet practical idea after all.
Olive oil in your hands
Recommended by: Julia Roberts
If you’ve seen her hands in movies, then you gotta do what she says when she asks you to dip those fingers and hands on olive oil! Pronto! We all know the many benefits of eating food with olive oil so this may not be bizarre at all. It makes sense, and it’s fancy. It’s like treating your hands as if you are a Greek goddess with your offering of gorgeousness and everlasting hand beauty.
Mint for your lips
Recommended by: Mariah Carey
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why mint is good for the body. It’s a natural ingredient after all. But for the lips, you can take a mint leaf from Mariah Carey’s book by using peppermint oil with her lip balm. Mint can draw blood to your lips that can ‘cause them to pucker up and enhance their color. So, mint anyone?
Loofah for your hair
Recommended by: Gwyneth Paltrow
This gorgeous goddess with silky blonde hair uses a loofa to make her hair polished and shiny. According to some stylists, this can also be used to add volume to your hair and subtract its frizz. I am very much convinced as I have long admired Gwyneth Paltrow’s mane.
These tactics may be weird but at least they are all safe to use. The really bizarre thing about these items is how celebrities have become advocates for them and how little effort it takes to be beautiful. These so cheap, so easy, and so quirky tips from Hollywood celebrities are such beautiful gems!
