The popularity of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was not surprising at all. But what was surprisingly was the huge amount it reaps in the box office with a staggering $808 million in international sales. Yup, Jennifer Lawrence. Josh Hutcherson and other cast performing the exciting and blood rising stunts surely had a very happy New year with this movie hit.
In fact, this much anticipated movie of 2013 reached $400.1 million after 42 days it hit U.S. theater. The millions of dollars gross sales was a far cry from the 80 days mark of its first franchise. Yes, the first The Hunger Games movie took 80 days before it reached the $400 million sales. Also, while its international sales reached $808 million, the first movie released in 2012 only earned $691 million, but the movie sales was still pretty impressive as compared to other much-awaited films that somehow fell below expectations.
So, if you enjoyed Catching Fire, you will surely wait and anticipate the two other movie installments, which are The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, that are set for release this November 2014 and 2015 respectively.
Now, be patient. It’s just 10 months to go and another one year and 10 months for the part 2. Featured Image Source: geektyrant.com
