We’re all used to books being turned into movies. But there are good reasons why it’s best to read the book first before watching the film adaptation. I could give you two. 1. Bcoz sometimes, the movie version sucks lol. 2. So you could savor and re-read all those glorious details and colorful dialogues used in the book when no. 1 happens.
And with that in mind, here are five books worth reading before they hit the cinemas soon.
1.The Fault In Our Stars by John Green.
A heart rendering story about two teens with cancer, Hazel and Augustus, and their decision to love and be loved despite the consequences.
2. Divergent by Veronica Roth.
There are five types of peeps in this future world–Dauntless, Amity, Erudite, Abnegation and Candor. And Tris Prior doesn’t belong to any of them, making her a Divergent. A crazy for power leader is threatening to eradicate her kind so she must find a way to fight and survive.
3. The Maze Runner by James Dashner.
Thomas woke up in the lift and only remembers his first name. But he’s not alone. There are others boys like him trapped in that place they called Glade. They must find a way to escape even if it meant fighting the monsters guarding the Glade known as Grievers.
4. The Giver by Lois Lowry.
Jonathan is an 11-year old kid who lives in a futuristic society where everything is perfect– no crime, unhappiness or pain. But when it’s his time to be the Receiver of Memories, he found out the secrets from the past and the dreadful choices made to build the world he is in right now.
